The Disney Princess Ultimate Doll Collection which consists of 7 dolls normally retails for $59.99.  Target not only has it on sale for $54.99, they have a coupon available for 50% off,  making it $27.50.

Click Here for the link to the Printable Coupon

There are two different version of the collection.  One comes with sleeping beauty and the other comes with rapunzel.

Here is a picture of the one with sleeping beauty:

This collection is going in many cases for $80 + on eBay and over $90 on Amazon.  The Holiday season isn’t even in full swing yet, as it gets harder to find, who knows what price it could go for.  This is definitely a deal I’ll be picking up to flip for a profit this holiday season.

Amazon Lightning Deals

For the holiday season I do a lot of buying on Amazon to resell.  Today I officially  kicked off my holiday season buying on Amazon.   They had a “lightning deal” for the Wii Metroid game and it was temporarily available for $19.99, normally $40-$50.   There are only so many available that they list at this price within a certain time window.  I was lucky enough to purchase one before they sold out within minutes of becoming available at that price.    Video games can be a great item to sell around the holidays.  They take little effort to list and are easy and quick to ship.

Here is a screen shot of my purchase:

and here is an actual picture of the game:

There are going to many “lightning deals” like this on Amazon this holiday season.   Click here to link to a great landing page on Amazon to see some of these deals.

Golf Balls Anyone?

I recently went to a city wide yard sale and one of the sellers had around 30 boxes of golf balls they were looking to get $2 a dozen for. After negotiating them down to $1 a dozen if I took them all, I finally got around to listing some of them on eBay. I listed 5 dozen 3 days ago as an auction and they sold today on eBay for $105. Not bad for a $5 investment. I think I’ll sell a few more boxes and then keep some to take with me next time I go golfing.

Here is the recent find that turned into a nice profit for me:

Most Wanted Toy List 2010

The holiday season is just around the corner, which is my favorite time of the year for selling toys.   While I find it is still too early to tell what toys to target, The Most Wanted List 2010  came out yesterday by TimetoPlay.

Check it out here:

http://www.timetoplaymag.com/mostwanted/2010/

Also,  check out the lalaloopsy dolls pictured above.  Even though it wasn’t on the list, they still seems to be selling out every where.

Lastly,  another good resource to see some hot selling toys is:

As the holiday season quickly approaches, be sure to check out my updates.  I’ll be posting toys you’ll want to get your hands on this holiday season!

Buying used cell phones and reselling them on ebay can be very profitable. I bought this HTC Droid Eris for $105 and resold it for $219.99, making over $85 in clear profit.

Here is the actual phone I sold:

If you think you might be interested in learning how to buy and sell used cell phones you’ll want check out this new course I have been using. It’s called the Proven Ebay Course II. I’ve made over $370 total on 8 phones in the past couple weeks testing out this system. Bottom line is it works. When you sign up for the course you even get access to a forum where you can interact with other members who are working this course including myself.

Like anything else Jim Cockrum offers, there is a money back guarantee.

Vintage PC Games

This eBay seller has had success selling Vintage PC Games.

“I’ve had a lot of luck selling older video or computer games on Ebay. Vintage, in this category, can be as recent as mid-1990’s. There is a huge community of game players and collectors who are willing to pay for the harder to find games. Check out this 1996 computer game I recently sold. I paid $2.99 for it at a local thrift store and it sold for over $240.00!”

You can check out their blog here

$240 off a $3 investment? Now that’s a great profit!

Here is the actual listing for the vintage pc game they bought for $3 and resold for $240.

Recently a member found this used action figure toy at a thrift store for $1:

Most action figures for a $1 are great deals.  However, after buying used action figures many run into a common problem, especially when it’s their first time.

How do you identify what action figure you just bought and what series or line it was made from?

I’ve found the easy way to do this is to take a picture of it then go to one of the following places below for help:

One place sellers post pictures of toys they found to help get them identified is Ebay’s toys and hobby discussion thread

You can also post it on mattycollector’s facebook page, there are tons of collectors on there that may be able to help identify it.

Another good source is the Action Figure Insider Forums

Now if you are still curious as to what the action figure was in the above picture.  It turns out the action figure is a transformer titanium series Thrust.  I deal with action figures all the time and I didn’t even know that.    I did know though, that it was a transformer, so I went over to another resource I use from time to time, TransformersBay.  There I was able to get someone to help me determine what the name and series was of the figure in under 5 minutes.   So, if you want to sell transformer toys,  the above resources are great to use when trying to identify them.

Also, when looking to sell transformer toys or any other used action figures for that matter, you want to make sure you get them at the right price.  I’d pay $1 for transformer action figures all day long, but I might not pay that amount for other figures.   On the other hand, it can be worth it to pay much more than that for certain action figures too.  My opinion is when your first starting out, start off small and take bigger risks as you gain the experience.  Thanks for sharing your find Bill.

Now that the new Iron Man 2 movie is being released in theaters, you can bet the sales of Iron Man 2 toys and action figures will continue to soar. The 6 inch Wal-mart exclusive figures are no exception. With the Iron Man 2 mark VI and war machine hitting Wal-mart shelves, you can find yourself making a decent profit selling the pair together on eBay.

One eBay seller proves that thinking outside the box can make a big difference in profits. They know that marvel custom action figures are a good niche market to be in. Look at how this seller turned a $13 action figure into a $305 sale. Not for both figures….that was $305 for EACH!

Check out the eBay completed listing for the 6 inch Wal-mart war machine that was customized:

Making marvel custom action figures will not be a 5 minute project, but considering how much potential profit can be made, it may be worth the time to create them or have someone create them for you. If you interested in learning more about how to create marvel custom action figures, here is a great site you can visit that has a bunch of tutorials to get you started:
