In my last post, I mentioned buying two Canon EOS Rebel K2 Kit’s for $60 each and how I had resold one in less than 8 hours on Amazon for $150. I just wanted to give an update on the second kit. I listed it for $175 on Amazon since the last one sold so quickly. It sold two days ago on the 4th of April and this time the sale was all profit.
Here is a look at the sold order from my Amazon account:

If I can make this type of profit on items I am not that familiar with, so can you!
I just added another resource to the video series. You can find deals in all different categories, not just toys with this resource. If your a member, you have to check this out! If you haven’t signed up for the video series yet, you can sign up via: http://deals4resale.com/video-series/
I walk you step by step through how to find deals to resell for a profit on eBay and Amazon, plus give you access to real deals I have done and deals that are available that YOU can take advantage of. Plus you get videos that show you resources I use to find deals all the time.
If you had read my last post, I had mentioned how I found two Canon EOS Rebel K2 kits at Wal-mart the other day on clearance for $60 each. I also mentioned how I normally buy toy deals but have started branching out into other categories. I decided to list one of the kits on Amazon today for $150. To my amazement, it sold in less 8 hours. That covers my investment for the two and the next one will be pure profit. Here is the screen shot from the sale:

Needless to say, I’ve listed the second one, this time I’ll try for $175. I hope this inspires you to get out there and start finding deals.
For those of you who have been following the deals I find, I’m sure you have found it quite apparent that I gravitate towards the category of toys and collectibles. That being said, I wanted to prove that anybody can find deals, even with little experience, in any market. I went out and scoped out the electronics section at Wal-mart tonight, not having much experience with deals in this category at all. I found a display case with a bunch of clearance items in it and just started plugging away on my wife’s cell phone checking the completed listings on eBay. Guess what? I found a winner and if I can do it so can you too.
The employees at Wal-mart didn’t think twice about why I was buying this item. They could have bought it and sold it themselves and made more than their days pay at work at Wal-mart. If you want a real eye opener so you’ll stop walking past deals and letting them slip through your fingers, check out my video series. This one deal would have paid for a lifetime membership to my site.
Here is an email I received from Amazon the other day:
“Dear Amazon.com Customer,
As someone who has shown an interest in action figures, you might like to know that, for a limited time, you can get select Monsters vs. Aliens toys for $4.99″
Okay, they caught my interest, being curious I clicked the link. It
listed 9 Alien vs Monsters Action Figures that were anywhere from 58-76% off.
At this point I was already plugging in the first one on the list into an eBay completed listing search. I mean being 58-76% off, surely there was a way to make profit with these, right?
I went down the list of all the figures available for $4.99 entering them all into an eBay completed listing search and there were quite a few completed listings…but…NONE of them sold! Oh wait a minute….I did find one that sold…Take a look below at the only listing I found out of all these action figures that DID sell:
Now I have to admit most of the seller listings were trying to sell the figures for $35 or more. Maybe if you tried to only double or triple your money on these, it might work. I really considered buying them and trying just that to see if maybe they would sell that way. I even thought about maybe grouping them together in a "lot". I really try and look at every angle and outside the box to make a deal work. But, after I saw that a listing had ended with a buy it now price of $11.99 and still didn’t sell, I knew it was time to walk away from the deal and move on to the next one. Even then I was still finding myself wanting to buy a few to save for a future rainy day, just in case they became highly sought after at a later date, which I sometimes will do.
Shoplego.com has the Taj Mahal which is classified as “hard to find” on their site, available on sale for $249.99. Regular price is $299.99. To check out the sale click below:
Now this is a much steeper investment to make and I wouldn’t recommend buying something this high in price if your just starting out. The Lego Taj Mahal has resold on eBay recently for $408.78. Here is the actual completed listing:
This isn’t the typical deal I show on my site as you won’t double your money, but there is a good amount of profit that can be made selling larger price tag items and I just wanted to give you some exposure as to what else is out there.
I’ve been talking about Avatar action figures quite a bit recently, mainly selling individual figures. I wanted to share with you another way you can resell these items that can be very effective. An eBay seller just sold a “lot” of six 4.25 inch Avatars on eBay for $149.99.
Not bad considering they are available on Amazon for $11.99. You could buy them at Amazon for the $11.99 price and resell them back on eBay and nearly double your money. Here is a quick link to where they are available on Amazon:
It just goes to show you there is more than one way to make the same products profitable, you just have to take the time to think outside the box, to make a deal work for you.
Also, a quick reminder that the Avatar figures that say “bio-lume”, which basically means they glow in the dark, are the ones that are the harder version to find, thus tend to go for higher prices.
A great resource I use to find out what action figures are HOT is the ToyFare Monthly Magazine. Not only does it provide a top ten market watch, but it also lets you know what is scheduled to come out as far as new action figures and new toy lines. This magazine is one of the many great resources I use and has helped me make lots of money.
It retails for $4.99 a month but before I started my subscription, being the deal hunter that I am, I found a place where I could pay just $2.33 a month. This is a no brainer if your serious about getting involved in reselling action figures. The magazine pays for itself over and over again from the information you get in it.
Below is the cheapest place I’ve found the yearly subscription for the magazine:
