Thomas Ferdinand toy train. This was mentioned last month but I felt it needed to be mentioned again. I’ve been able to pick them up at Wal-mart and even on Amazon.com when they are in stock for $14.99 and resell them on Amazon for $36.50. I’ve sold over 20 so far in less than a few weeks via Amazon FBA.
I’ve been buying this DC Universe Gold figure for $15 at various Wal-mart’s and reselling them for $35 via Amazon FBA.
I’ve been buying these Disney DVD Bingo’s at Fred’s for $10 and selling them for $39.99 via Amazon FBA. They sell like hot cakes. I sent 10 in as a test and sold out in less than a week. Needless to say, when ever I see them in a Fred’s store I buy them all.
I also have been able to find this Fisher-Price Little Einsteins Transform & Go Rocket at Fred’s for $20. I’ve been selling them at $49.50 via Amazon FBA.
I’ve found 6 of these elmo’s in the past 2 weeks via Wal-mart and Toysrus. Both had them marked down to $29.99. I’ve been selling them via Amazon FBA @ $130 a piece. Be sure to look for these when stopping in one of those stores!

This Hot Wheels speed cycle can be found at stores like Big Lots and Wal-mart for around $3. I’ve been able to sell them successfully between $10 and $15 via FBA. There are a variety of speed cycles out there and I have had success selling many of them. The rank of 425,000 + on Amazon for this particular speed cycle may scare some people off from selling them but I don’t mind.
These pink Brita pitchers have been getting marked down at Wal-marts. I’ve been able to pick them up for between $5-$12 and I have been successfully selling them via Amazon FBA for $31. All Wal-marts vary in pricing so YMMV (your mileage may vary)

I was able to pick this one up at Toysrus the other day for $50. They are getting harder and harder to find. The store I went to only received 3 and this was the last one they had.
I picked up two of these diaper bags at Big Lots for $12 and resold them both for $49.50 each through Amazon’s FBA program in less than a week. We found another one while we were out the other day, so if you have a Big Lots near you, you may still be able to find them.
On Sale March 15th on Mattycollector.com, King Hssss, has been a long awaited character for many Masters of the Universe collectors. There seems to be a lot of Buzz around this character and I’ll be sure to keep you posted as to my thoughts as the sale time gets closer.

This may be the last run they do on the Super Mario Allstars game. It was selling as high as $80 at one point and has been steady around $60. Since it’s a limited edition and a Super Mario game, it’s more than likely to hold it’s value for quite some time.

These lists are only sold items, sorted from highest price to lowest. There are thousands of listings for each category so it may take some time to load for you. The dinky die-cast car that is on the list didn’t surprise me as much as The Munster board game that sold for over $3,000!!! It’s great to view lists like these because it helps educate you on big ticket items that have sold and may open up new niches for you to try and get into.

There also are various “City” lego sets on clearance as well. Some of the new Lego sets that were due to be released this month have also started making their way to the shelves.
If you see these items at your local Wal-mart and they aren’t “showing” marked as clearance, use their price check scanners to check the price. Some stores I have found the items not showing the clearance price on the shelves or on the box, but nonetheless scan at the clearance price. They may just be behind on changing the prices over. Knowing this gives you a huge advantage over other clearance shoppers who may not know.
1/1/2011 - Wal-mart has the DC Universe Green Lantern 5 pack clearanced from $59.99 down to $29.50. They sell on eBay for as high as $70. This is an in store clearance and can’t be purchased online via wal-mart.com. Your local wal-mart may vary. Some may have it clearanced, some may not have it in stock, and some might have it full price still. I’ve found them clearanced in two states so far. (Tennessee and Kentucky)

Retails normally for $49.99 on sale for $24.99. Buy $100 in Barbie toys and get Barbie KidPicks Remote Control Corvette and Barbie Doll for free. A $49.99 value. I tried to order 3 of the brunette and 2 of the blonde video girl barbies (to bring the total over $100) and it only processed the blonde barbie because the brunette was sold out. I called Toysrus and they just ordered 2 more and threw in the convertible because it was just shy of the $100 mark. They might do it for you as well if you call.

12/7/10-Wal-mart has the Fisher-Price Thomas & Friends Trackmaster Shake Shake Bridge Playset on sale for $10, Normally $24.97. Not a large profits item after eBay fees, but it’s not a bad profit off a small investment. Free shipping with ship to store or $.97 per item for standard shipping.
I’ve found Thomas items go up in value over time as well. I’ve been known to put a few items similar to these away to sell at a later date for huge profits.

With Black Friday next week you can start looking for deals on Amazon the Monday the 22th. I’ve made hundreds of dollars in the past finding “lightning deals” on Amazon over the holiday season and reselling them on eBay.

King Grayskull goes on sale November 15, 2010. He is a figure that came out early in the series as a comic con exclusive, later to be released on MattyCollector.com. Many fans missed out on adding him to their collection because they joined the line later. The comic con versions have sold for as high as $275+ if you have checked out my deals video from when I sold him. He is being repackaged which may decrease the value of him, but with the demand for collectors to get their hands on a cheaper version of him, this figure has potential to sell for much more than your investment.
The weapon packs that have been released on MattyCollector.com for the Masters of the Universe Series have sold for as much as 3x the investment in the past. There is no reason to believe this pack won’t do as well as previous.

With the holidays right around the corner the sing a ma jigs are looking like a good investment right now. With November not even here yet, these toys have sold for over $155 + shipping for all 9 of them on Ebay just yesterday via auction:
Toysrus has their Great Big Christmas Book sale which runs from October 31- November 24. During this time these toys will be on sale for $7.49 instead of $12.99. That’s $67.41+ tax for all 9 which are selling for over $150 + shipping together on eBay right now. If demand increases, there may be potential to make even more with these toys as the holiday gets closer. You also get a $10 gift card when you spend over $75, which you could sell right on eBay as well if you don’t want to use it and get almost the full amount for the gift card.
Toysrus hasn’t released their Black Friday Deals yet, you might have another opportunity with these toys on Black Friday as well.

MattyCollector.com is releasing Masters of the Universe figure Chief Carnivus on September 15th. He is the normal monthly released figure and even though demand has started to increase for him, I don’t see him selling for high values in the secondary market. At least not right now. He will sell out, and is more of a hold and sell later item.
MattyCollector.com is releasing the bonus figure Gygor on September 15th. Gygor should sell out quick. Most bonus figures release sell quick and have a nice resell value. If you could only pick one action figure hot deal to buy this month, he would be my pick.
MattyCollector.com is releasing the 6 inch Egon Spengler on September 15th. Each ghost buster figure to the 6 inch line has sold out and he is sure to as well. The line is picking up speed and the resell value is starting to increase over time. A lot of collectors are buying him specifically to get the PKE meter that is included as an accessory.
