Now that the new Iron Man 2 movie is being released in theaters, you can bet the sales of Iron Man 2 toys and action figures will continue to soar. The 6 inch Wal-mart exclusive figures are no exception. With the Iron Man 2 mark VI and war machine hitting Wal-mart shelves, you can find yourself making a decent profit selling the pair together on eBay.
One eBay seller proves that thinking outside the box can make a big difference in profits. They know that marvel custom action figures are a good niche market to be in. Look at how this seller turned a $13 action figure into a $305 sale. Not for both figures….that was $305 for EACH!

Not sure what you mean,how are they custom? Does Wal-mart sell a kit and you customize them? Can you elaborate on what the ebay auction was for as opposed to a an action figure you buy from Walmart?

one of the major modifications the seller made was adding light up eyes and a light up chest to the wal-mart figure. You can modify the figure numerous ways and I am sure there are kits available depending on what your looking to do. An example of how to do the lights can be found here:

The guide is actually written by the seller.
It looks like the seller used a 3 button cell batteries instead of a 9 volt which is in the above link example.
I’m actually going to try this myself and I’m still researching where to get all the parts I need. I will keep you posted as I find out new information.
